Serge Ibaka Traded to Raptors
The Magic acquired Ibaka in a draft-day deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Victor Oladipo, forward Ersan Ilyasova and the rights Domantas Sabonis, the 11th pick in the 2016 draft.
The Raptors, fresh off the first trip to the East finals in franchise history, needed a midseason boost as badly as any aspiring contender in recent memory.
Ujiri, the Raptors' president, has always been intrigued by Ibaka and tried to pry Ibaka loose from the Oklahoma City Thunder last June.
This is the big move Raptors' fans have been waiting for. Ross is in the second season of a three-year, $30-million contact. The Raptors have lost 10 of their past 14 games and now sit in fourth place.
Brandon Phillips waives 10-and-5 rights, accepts trade to Atlanta Braves
In 2016, he hit.291/.320/.416 for a 94 OPS+ with -7 DRS and 0.8 WAR (the last two were his worst showings since '06). But should the deal go through, Cincinnati will pay most of Phillips' $ 14 million salary for the upcoming season.

Facebook just made your weather app obsolete
Hourly and weekly forecasts can be viewed, and users also have the ability to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit measurements. The site started offering weather greetings to a select group of users last April, and the in-built app builds on that service.
The Raptors starting five now consists of Kyle Lowry, DeRozan, DeMarre Carroll, Ibaka, and Jonas Valanciunas. But even fully healthy, Toronto's chances at taking down Cleveland remained microscopic due to the club's glaring problem at power forward. Masai Ujiri has long had interest in acquiring Ibaka. Ross is averaging 10.4 points over 22.4 minutes per game this year and is shooting 37.5% from three-point range.
The 27-year-old averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 56 games with Orlando, but with Ibaka set to hit unrestricted free agency, the Magic made a decision to get a return on their investment instead of letting him walk for nothing.
But Orlando created a logjam in the frontcourt with Ibaka, Gordon, Nikola Vucevic and Bismack Biyombo, and pieces just never fit together. The Raptors will also have a decision to make with Jared Sullinger, likely the odd man out. "(Monday) night I thought he did a really good job on both ends of the floor". The Raptors owned two first round picks, and the deal will send the lesser in value between theirs and the one they have from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Magic.
Orlando still can't clear max room for this summer even if it removes all its cap holds, but getting something for Ibaka is better than losing him for nothing or re-signing him to a long-term deal.
