ISRO Scripts History, Launches 104 Satellites In One Go
The previous record for launching maximum number of satellites belong to Russian Space Agency, when they had placed 37 satellites in one single go in 2014.
This has been a historical effort of launching 104 satellites in a single launch. "The space technology race is not mainly about the number of satellites at one go".
The ISRO will use a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C37 (PSLV-C37) launcher from the Satish Dhavan Space Centre at Sriharikota, India. Wednesday's launch was another success for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), which is rapidly gaining a reputation globally for its effective yet low-priced missions.
Of the 101 foreign satellites launched by PSLV on Wednesday, 96 are from the United States - including 88 from the start-up, Planet Labs, a San Francisco-based earth imaging company - while one satellite each is from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan and the UAE.
The PSLV-C37/Cartosat2 Series satellite mission included the primary satellite (Cartosat-2) and 101 global nano satellites.
The data from these satellites will allow "humanity would be able to have a significant positive impact on numerous world's greatest challenges", Planet said. Out of the 104 satellites that were launched on Wednesday, 88 were minor, weighing around 10 pounds called Doves, they have a place with Planet Labs, a privately owned business situated in San Francisco that offers information to governments and business substances, and they constituted the biggest satellite heavenly body ever propelled into space. Last June, India set a national record after it successfully launched a rocket carrying 20 satellites, including 13 from the US. The US space agency, NASA has launched 29.
"On the whole, India's space technology still lags behind the US' and China's".

"The development of a country's space technology is determined by the size of its input", said the editorial.
Pakistan, China and other enemy nations will now have to spend sleepless nights hereafter as most acts of terrorism would be under scanner and this step is also an historic moment for global peace in the coming times.
