Why I'm Excited For Lorde's 'Green Light' Reinvention

The 20-year-old has dropped music video for her exhilarating new single "Green Light" and recently opened up about what she's been up to during her almost four-year hiatus from the spotlight.

Check out Lorde's new track below. And with lyrics like, "You said that you would always be in love, but you're not in love no more" and "I can't let go", her new single likely has many fans wondering if Lorde is now dating anyone.

Lorde told Ben and Liam that the album will be more expansive than her last.

Lorde has received praise from celebrities such as Katy Perry and Hayley Williams of Paramore. "And that's the song for me". Here, Lorde wants a green light not to a destination, but away from a location she knows too well.

The singer has previously alluded to the album, which would be her first since releasing her debut record Pure Heroine in 2013, and it looks like she might be going down more of a pop route than she did on her debut.

The accompanying music video to Green Light on Lorde's official YouTube page has already had more than 3 million views. And I feel like you can really hear that on this record.

Rickie Fowler breezes to 65, 4-shot lead at PGA National
It shouldn't be surprising, because Europeans have played well in the event, especially since it moved to PGA National in 2007. The transition from YouTube trick-shot artist to PGA Tour pro is not always an easy one, but Bryan has handled it with grace.

"I realised this is that drunk girl at the party dancing around crying about her ex-boyfriend who everyone thinks is a mess".

Green Light starts slow and builds up into a classic Lorde dance tune, it's quickly clear the song will become a catchy radio tune.

"I knew it just couldn't be any old thing". But "Green Light', released this morning, is not like either of those things".

It can't have been easy for Lorde to hold onto her weird over these past few years. It took me a while to be able to figure out how to write about that. She definitely hated the idea of losing the hype that she's been creating around this single.

Reflecting on the difference between LA, New York and Auckland, she spoke of her love for her hometown. Now she has announced its release date to be 15 June 2017.

All those rumours, they have big teeth Oh they bite you, Thought you said that you would always be in love But you're not in love no more.
