Snow predicted for Friday commute

The National Weather Service's Upton office on Thursday issued a winter weather advisory from 10 p.m. Thursday through 2 p.m. Friday.

The advisory says two to four inches of snow can be expected.

For travelers, the early-morning transition into snow will make for a slow and messy Friday morning commute. Another area of concern will be around West Yellowstone and Cooke City with a good chance for periods of moderate snowfall through the weekend.

The high for Friday is forecast to be near 40 degrees while the overnight low will dip to the low 20s.
