Taylor Swift's stalker arrested

And, sadly, Taylor Swift's had some experience dealing with both. In NYC this week Mohammed Jaffar has been taken into custody after he was discovered lurking around her apartment building in New York City this week.

Page Six is reporting that the 29-year-old has been showing up unannounced to the singer's luxury condo for the past three months, demanding to have a sit-down meeting with Swift.

There is not much a Taylor Swift fan won't do to meet their idol - even if that means getting arrested, as one particular over-zealous follower discovered.

However, Mohammed didn't appreciate being turned away as he proceeded to stop by the building FOUR more times over the course of two months.

Millions of dollars in tax refunds unclaimed by Alabamians

He also allegedly rang the Bad Blood singer's doorbell for an hour straight, before returning the following day to ring it again for 45 minutes.

Jaffar was arrested on 6 March on stalking and burglary charges and was held on a $20,000 (€18,800) bond. He also allegedly contacted Swift's management company 59 times between January 27 and February 16 in an attempt to see her.

The report states that Jaffar showed up on the roof of Swift's apartment building on February 6, staying from 10AM until 2PM and even directly accessing the hallway outside of the singer's penthouse apartment. He has climbed up on the roof and has tried to enter her house by ringing the door bell several times. He has been forbidden from seeking any further contact with Swift. Her star-studded neighbors in the 10-unit building include Orlando Bloom and director Steven Soderbergh, according to StreetEasy.
