NetherRealm and WB dropped some details on the microtransaction system coming to Injustice 2.

It's tough to think past March or April with so many high profile releases on the horizon, but if you manage to do so you may remember that Injustice 2 is arriving this May. Dubbed Source Crystals, this premium currency will let customers purchase cosmetic upgrades for every character in the game.

One interesting point, however, is that Source Crystals can be used to save time in the game. meaning, for those who are able to level-up their characters to level 20, they can use the Source Crystals to level up other characters to the same level.

"We value our community and want to be clear - you can not "pay to win" with Injustice 2", NetherRealm said as part of today's announcement.
