The Cowboys weren't likely to pay Carr $6 million a year, although the four-year deal is really more of a two-year deal, more in line with what you might pay someone like Carr at his age.

With so many holes to fill, it leaves Cowboys' fans wondering what plan exists to fill these voids before the 2017 season. Late word just came in that Claiborne is headed to the Jets. They hoped he'd anchor their secondary for years to come, but injuries have kept Claiborne from reaching his true potential.

Former Fair Park and LSU star cornerback Morris Claiborne is reportedly leaving the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent to sign with the New York Jets. Claiborne has never played a full 16 games and has not played in more than 11 games since his rookie season. Claiborne, 27, was drafted sixth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, but he has disappointed, partly because of injuries. He has four interceptions in 47 career games.
