Jay Glazer Unveils Surveillance of Suspected Tom Brady Jersey Thief

After a lengthy criminal investigation, authorities announced this week that they discovered the missing jersey Brady wore during Super Bowl 51 last February, along with the Patriots star's missing uniform from Super Bowl 49 and other pieces of National Football League memorabilia, in the possession of a credentialed member of the global media. The face of the suspect - a credentialed media member - is blurred out. The media worker did have credentials to work the game, investigators said.

A Houston police report and Goldin Auctions valued the jersey at $500,000.

Brady's jersey was taken from the New England Patriots' locker room at Houston's NRG Stadium after the team beat Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl last month.

The jersey has been found. Authorities are also investigating whether that same man stole Von Miller's helmet from Super Bowl 50, according to Glazer.

ABC News has obtained a photo of Tom Brady's missing jersey from his Super Bowl LI victory, courtesy of the Mexican Attorney General. "They were not even aware that (he) had gone to the Super Bowl".

Brady offered a statement through his agent about the jersey's recovery, where he expressed thanks to law enforcement.

Schefter: Jets to Sign CB Morris Claiborne
Claiborne, 27, was drafted sixth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, but he has disappointed, partly because of injuries. With so many holes to fill, it leaves Cowboys' fans wondering what plan exists to fill these voids before the 2017 season.

The newspaper's official statement said they received the news "with total surprise and disappointment in the conduct presumably carried out by Martin Mauricio Ortega Camberos, last February 5, 2017".

Velazquez and Palafox both said Ortega was carrying a bag containing a past Super Bowl jersey worn by Warner and an Emmitt Smith book. "If it ends up on eBay, let me know". That paper says that, citing personal reasons, he resigned on March 14.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, whose department initiated the investigation into Brady's missing jersey, said an informant from Houston led the FBI and Mexican authorities to Ortego. Due to the ongoing investigation, we would refer any additional questions to the FBI.

According to Glazer, the Houston Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation worked in tandem to track the jersey down in Mexico.

"Hopefully when I get the jerseys back I can make something very positive come from this experience", Brady said.
