'Game of Thrones' season 7 teaser out

Though the new trailer of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 had fans squealing with excitement, the most intriguing part was Cersei's scenes.

FORGET winter - the new season is coming. The trailer lasts for less than two minutes and it plays James's 1989 song, "Sit Down" with a twist that gives it "Game of Thrones" feel. And the Season 7 trailer shows Jon Snow, Cersei, and Daenerys as the three biggest power players who will ultimately face off. Meanwhile, Daenerys seems to have crossed the sea and reached her birthplace, Dragonstone, the traditional seat of the Targaryens. Every character is walking towards a throne room, a subtle hint that everybody is more or less happy with what they've achieved so far.

Next is Cersei Lannister, who was crowned as the queen of Westeros after her son made a decision to kill himself by jumping off the window.

Cersei appears upon the Iron Throne in King's Landing, which she captured in explosive fashion at the end of Season 6, eliminating almost all of her political adversaries in one decisive blow. It looks like it's going to be up to Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen to finally right this world in the middle of one of the most treacherous winters Westeros will ever see. Fans of the series get a glimpse of the blue-eyed Night King at the end of the trailer. Whether Cersei will act as an ally or an impediment is unclear, but if rumors/theories that Tyrion is also secretly a Targaryen (like Jon Snow), then it might not matter. However, while it seems terribly likely, without confirmation from HBO fans must do not forget to take this speculation with a grain of salt.

"Thrones" returns July 16, 2017 for its penultimate, seven-episode season.
