Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 design sketches reveal thin bezels, dual cameras

The new update will upgrade the smartphone to Android Nougat 7.1.1 confirming the promise to keep the software updated. Nokia says the big OS updates that Google makes for Android will be rolled out to the Nokia 6 and other Nokia smartphones. The update for the Nokia 6 brings support for 4G and 3G dual-SIM standby.

The various new features that come with the update include shortcut support on home screen, bug fixing, new and updated emoji, among others. It will also update Nokia USB drivers and many other preinstalled apps.

If you already own Nokia 6, you can check out for the update in the software updates section. Globally, the price of the Nokia 6 is Euros 229 and the ARTE edition carries a tag of Euros 299.

Arriving with the build 00CN_3_170, the update is 369MB in size and brings along a bunch of new features to the smartphone. Some preloaded apps on the smartphone also get updated. Of course, given the fact that the Nokia 6 previously ran on Android 7.0, users will also get all the features that were new in the 7.1 version.

As far as specifications are concerned, Nokia 6 has an aluminium unibody design. It is expected to hit the global market in the second half of 2017. It also sports a 2.5D curved glass display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

With this, Nokia is planning to launch its two more Android smartphones in the world named with Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. Speaking of storage capacity, it has 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal memory, besides having the option of an expandable memory of up to 128GB through microSD. On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash.
