At least two people were crushed to death and three others were injured in the mishap that took place at 5:45 am on Thursday morning at Delhi's ISBT bus terminal.

According to DCP North Jatin Narwal, the driver of the vehicle claimed to be 18 years of age, but police is now verifying the documents.

Police said that they received a call around 6.15 am and immediately rushed to the spot. There were three people inside the car- all students of Class 12.

The student lost control of his speeding I 20 auto and climbed on the footpath. The two kids and the driver, who allegedly did not have licence, were arrested.

Chugh is a resident of Model Town in Delhi. The police are in the process of verifying his age even though he has claimed he is above 18. "His friends fled the scene after the accident", Narwal told IANS.

Just a day earlier, a 21-year-old youth lost his life while four of his friends, including a woman, were injured after their vehicle hit a tree in outer Delhi's Alipur area.

Police said the man who died appears to be in his late twenties and is yet to be identified. Chugh is likely to be booked under Section 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
