Crosby scores, Malkin shoots yet Penguins lose 4-1 to Preds

Nashville Predators defenseman Yannick Weber (7), of Switzerland, knocks the puck from Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Chris Kunitz (14) during the second period in Game 4 of the NHL hockey Stanley Cup Finals Monday, June 5, 201.

At about the 11:00 mark of the second period, Pekka Rinne made not one, but three incredible saves to keep Nashville in the hunt.

In order to claim the Stanley Cup, the Nashville Predators need to win two of the next three games.

With the series tied 2-2, Game 5 takes the teams back to Pittsburgh on Thursday night, but Game 6 will be back in Nashville, where we'll undoubtedly see more catfish take the ice. The Predators and Penguins are now tied 2-2.

Gaudreau netted the game-winner on Monday to level the best-of-seven series with the Pittsburgh Penguins at 2-2 and in the process became only the second National Hockey League player in history to score his first three career goals in a Stanley Cup Final. Two nights earlier, he and Evgeni Malkin had failed to get a shot on net and the way that Crosby responded in Game 4 made it seem as though he took the outlier of a stat personally. In the two games since, however, the tables sure have turned.

Two nights after he stopped 27 of 28 shots in a 5-1 win in Game 3, the Predators goalie was even better in a 23-save performance in Game 4.

Sidney Crosby scored his first goal in the series after not getting a shot on goal in Game 3.

There's reportedly "an internal memo written by a senior NSA official" that describes Trump's conversation with Rogers. The intelligence officials in question were Daniel Coats, the Director of National Intelligence, and Adm.

NOTES: The Predators used the same lineup as they did in Game 2, scratching LW Cody McLeod as well as C Vern Fiddler.

"Mike's got skill, but the second part is he's got will", said head coach Peter Laviolette.

Rinne stole the show early in the second period, however, eliciting a standing ovation after back-to-back-to-back saves that thwarted more would-be Crosby magic and set up a go-ahead wrap-around score by Frederick Gaudreau.

"It's been unbelievable for us, the way he's come, he's been so good".

"Obviously, it's hard to win when you score one goal, but having said that, I thought tonight of all the games we played, we generated the most chances and the highest quality", Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan said. It didn't go in the net for us. "We had a number of grade-A opportunities, a couple of breakaways, flurries around the net, so there were a lot of things from a process standpoint that we really liked". Throughout the playoffs, Forsgerg has nine goals and 16 total points over 20 games. Officials there checked the video and when they determined Gaudreau had indeed scored, informed the arena timekeeper to stop play, hence the horn and the subsequent announcement of the goal.

Calle Jarnkrok, Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg also scored for the Predators. They ruled Gaudreau's wraparound attempt slid the puck just over the line before Murray stopped it, giving Nashville a 2-1 lead 3:45 into the second.
