Two Indian Army soldiers were killed by a Pakistani BAT team on Thursday on the LoC in Chakan da Bagh sector in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, while two militants were killed by the army in the sector during a foiled infiltration bid.

This was the third time the Border Action Team had struck in Poonch this year.

The Indian troops retaliated and in the firefight, two Indian jawans were killed, the official said. "As the firefight was going on, Pakistani posts too resorted to heavy firing".
