Colts to start Jacoby Brissett at QB vs. Cardinals

With Jacoby Brissett getting the start at quarterback in week two, Hilton should see a boost in his productivity.

Brissett has been announced as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Mike Chappell of of CBS 4 News Indianapolis reports.

PALMER ON REBOUND: Arizona quarterback Carson Palmer had one of the worst games of his career in the season opener, going 27 of 48 passes for 269 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. He did not throw for a touchdown or interception.

Brissett replaces Scott Tolzien, who had been working with the Colts' No. 1 offense in place of starter Andrew Luck, who continues working his way back to the field after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery. Don't forget that LT D.J. Humphries also was injured in Week 1 and could be out a few weeks as well. Johnson, the NFL's touchdown leader a year ago with 20 and the league's leading player in yards from scrimmage, represented almost 40 percent of the Cardinals' offense. 2017 looks to be a long year for the Colts, possibly a tough one for the Cardinals as well. Both teams are struggling, but even with the early injuries, the Cardinals have the more talented roster.

Hilton did not get the best of his matchup with Rams corner Trumaine Johnson in their week one matchup, mostly due to terrible quarterback play. Tolzien threw two pick-sixes, and almost a third had it not been for Donte Moncrief committing a facemask that prevented Tolzien from tying the National Football League record for a single game. He and Matthias Farley are the only healthy safeties.

0-2, again?: We've been down this road before. This was a good learning experience for a young team, but it's a painful way to go to 0-2 on the year. Throughout the game the Cardinal Offense consistently turned the ball over and put the Cardinal Defense in disgusting field position which allowed the Lions offense to score easily.
