India defeat Pakistan 4-0 to enter Asia Cup hockey final

Dhaka was the scene for a dominant Indian showing as four goals from a young and spirited side steered India to a seventh straight win over their arch rivals, highlighting the massive difference between the two sides.

India are through to the final of the Asia Cup after thrashing Pakistan 4-0 in the third and final game of the Super 4 in Dhaka on Saturday. It was Gurjant Singh in the 33rd minute followed by a splendid goal by SV Sunil brilliantly-assisted by Gurjant Singh who worked in tandem to score India's fifth goal.

It was a late surge in the tournament by Bangladesh as they saw 0-7 loss each against Pakistan and India before the 1-3 defeat against Japan in the 1st phase in their Pool A battles.

But the day belonged to Malaysia, as a 59th minute penalty corner goal from Faizal Shaari was enough to play against India Sunday.
