Texas sheriff seeks driver with 'offensive' anti-Trump display on their truck

Sheriff Troy Nehls said, "The Facebook post accomplished its objective and now we know who owns the truck".

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office removed a Facebook post involving the F-Trump sticker photo that went viral after the driver was identified.

What the message lacks in wit it apparently made up for in offense, with Nehls saying he had received "numerous calls regarding the offensive display" from citizens hoping that the driver's foul mouth and truck can be washed clean by the law.

Another commenter, Linzi Bee, wrote, "I've seen this truck, and I would (be) pleased if the owner of this vehicle was prosecuted for disorderly conduct".

In the post that has now been deleted, Nehls posted a photo of the sticker with the obscene words blacked out and a message that he wanted to "discuss" the sticker.

The sheriff posted a photo of a portion of of the Texas law for "Disorderly Conduct" in the comments section "for the point of discussion".

According to KPRC in Houston, the owners of the truck don't plan on taking the sticker down.

Fonseca says the message has been on the rear window of the pickup for almost a year and it'll stay there for the time-being.

"F*** TRUMP AND F*** YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM" reads the decal in bold white letters.

Fonseca told the Chronicle that she often drives the truck, and that she actually used to work for Nehls at the county jail.

"Unless [Nehls] can show me where it says that in the law book, it's not coming down until the weather takes it down or I replace it with something else", he told local station KHOU.

"It would be a good time to have meaningful dialogue with that person and express the concerns out there regarding the language on the truck", Nehls said. And when you're a star they let you do it.

"I want to reach out to the owner of this truck and say 'Hey, listen, the last thing we need to do is have any type of confrontation over the language on your truck", said Nehls during a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

There are many different opinions about not only the decal but about freedom of speech.

The American Civil Liberties Union responded to Nehls' Facebook post.
