Mall Brawl: Alabama's Riverchase Galleria closes early after Black Friday Fights

Police were still interviewing witnesses on Friday, but they did not identify a suspect or disclose a motive for the attack.

As part of its normal holiday shopping plan, Hoover police have increased its presence around the mall. You see another shopper being held down by security.

But not in Alabama at the Riverchase Galleria. When officers arrived, they found two juvenile ladies fighting, surrounded by a group of bystanders. The participants were separated and identified by officers. A 19-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries during a shooting between two men who were sitting inside a vehicle when one of them tried to holster a gun, according to Columbia police.

Hoover police Lt. Keith Czeskleba say officers also received calls of gunshots fired outside the mall near the Macy's parking lot, but responding officers believe it was someone shooting off fireworks. No arrests have been made, as no one wanted to press charges.

According to Al.com, police closed the Riverchase Galleria mall in Hoover, AL at 11:20 p.m. on Thursday after responding to the brawls.

Video circulating on Facebook shows one of the fights, which was between two girls. The number of arrests is not yet known.

Black Friday 2017 was only a few hours old before the first brawl videos started to hit the internet, with footage showing scraps between determined shoppers vying for all the best deals.
