It's Official! Chip Kelly is New UCLA Bruins Football Head Coach

Chip Kelly agreed to a five-year contract worth $23.3 million to become UCLA's next head coach.

Is this the right move for the Bruins? It now appears the decision to back out was Florida's as it had, according to CBS Sports, been going back and forth with Kelly over retaining some of previous coach McElwain's staff, most notably defensive coordinator and interim head coach Randy Shannon.

UCLA is looking to replace Jim Mora, whom the Bruins just fired earlier in the week. Mora went 46-30 in six seasons at the helm in Westwood. Kelly was named the Pac-10 Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons in 2009 and 2010, and Associated Press Coach of the Year in 2010. After a five-year hiatus to try out the National Football League and TV, Kelly is heading to Los Angeles to take over at UCLA with a five-year contract worth $23.9 million.

Kelly, 53, has not coached since last season when he led the 49ers to a 2-14 record.

Apple has acquired augmented reality headset maker Vrvana
Currently, The Vrvana's website is still active, but it stopped updating social accounts and news in August of this year. The acquisition would indicate that Cupertino is gathering assets to make its planned push into the AR market.

But that tenure was not without controversy as the NCAA Committee on Infractions handed down penalties to the program in 2013 because of recruiting violations, including three years of probation and an 18-month show-cause penalty for Kelly.

The jury remains out on whether Kelly can overtake USC and aid in UCLA becoming a top-tier program in Los Angeles but, if he can't do it, there is every reason to believe that most could not.

Most recently, Kelly has been serving as an analyst for ESPN.
