Jeremy Piven series canceled by CBS after 13 episodes

CBS plans to end "Wisdom of the Crowd" after just one season, sources close to the show told TVLine Monday, as more women come forward with allegations of sexual harassment by lead actor Jeremy Piven throughout his career. The remainder of Wisdom of the Crowd's 13 episodes will finish out in the show's current timeslot.

The accusations cast a shadow over Piven and the ratings are hardly a strong argument for the show's continuation. Airing out of veteran "60 Minutes", the series is averaging a modest 7.4 million viewers with a 1.0 rating in coveted adults 18-49.

Wisdom of the Crowd - which sees Piven star as Jeffrey Tanner, a man searching for the person who murdered his daughter - premiered on CBS in October and has now aired nine episodes of its original 13 episode run.

Attack on Egyptian mosque leaves over 50 dead
President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi declared three days of mourning and called a meeting of security officials after the attack. Egypt later said it would delay the opening of the Rafah border crossing to Gaza after the attack due to security concerns.

He has been accused of similar conduct by Longmire's Cassidy Freeman, and advertising executive Tiffany Bacon Scourby. CBS said previously it is looking into the claims but has issued no further statement. "As a human being, I feel compassion for the victims of such acts, but I am perplexed as to the misdirection of anger with false accusations against me and hope they do not detract from the stories that should be heard". Meanor claimed Piven pinned her down at her Los Angeles home in 1995 and Taneie accused him of grabbing her breast and genitals in 2009, during the making of Entourage.

"I would never force myself on a woman", Piven wrote in an earlier tweet.
