The ex-wife of former National Basketball Association player Lorenzen Wright was arrested in California on Friday night in connection with his 2010 murder.

Lorenzen Wright's mother Deborah Marion, told The Commercial Appeal newspaper that a police official told her Wright-Robinson will be charged with first-degree murder, the same charge Turner faces.

The police in Riverside County, Calif., arrested Sherra Wright on Friday night on a fugitive from justice warrant, online records show. Wright's ex-wife comes up multiple times in the piece and was even interviewed.

"We looked through this case and we did one thing, we followed the evidence and the evidence led us to Billy Turner and Sherra Wright-Robinson", Memphis Police Major Darren Goods told the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

The Commercial Appeal reported on August 1, 2010, Memphis police searched his ex-wife's home and found burned pieces of metal and a letter addressed to her and Lorenzen Wright, but law enforcement refused to divulge what those items meant to the case.

Sherra Wright received $1 million from her ex-husband's life insurance policy.
