The biggest addition that the update brings to the table is definitely the Balloon World mini-game, which has players either hiding or finding balloons throughout certain areas in the game.

The update also includes new outfits and snapshot filters and Nintendo added that more new outfits will be released in the future. That's because the new - and completely free - first dlc for the Nintendo Switch smash hit game looks like it's coming later today. There's the Musician Hat & Outfit, Sunshine Shades & Outfit, and the Knight Helmet & Armor.

Balloon World becomes available once the main game is completed and, to get started, players need to find Luigi in each Kingdom and talk to him. Creative use of captures is key to success! The more balloons you find, and the more other players fail to find yours, the higher you will climb in the global ranking. You'll also notice different weather effects in the likes of New Donk City and Tostarena while playing Balloon World.

Super Mario Odyssey is available now on the Nintendo Switch. It adds plenty of extra value for those who have already completed the story but want to continue to explore the rich, detailed game worlds long after. You'll also get two new filters for the Snapshot Mode: Neon, which turns everything into a neon sign, and Coin, which pretty much embosses the scene on a golden coin. More new outfits are planned to be added, so stay tuned to the Nintendo Australia Twitter account for more information.
