The deal is reportedly worth $20 million for one year and includes $15 million guaranteed as well as a one-year option for $20 million. But can Bradford really be the long-term answer at quarterback the team needs?

Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, is known for his strong and accurate arm but he has struggled with injuries.

Bradford completed 71.8 percent of his passes for 4,259 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions in 17 starts for the Vikings. Late Monday night, Case Keenum agreed to a deal with the Denver Broncos and it appears the New York Jets are pursuing Teddy Bridgewater.

The Cardinals don't have any other quarterbacks under contract.

Nonetheless, Bradford brought stability to the quarterback position.

According to the NFL Network, Bradford has said his knee injury subsided in recent months, allowing him to return to practice ahead of the postseason, and that he "absolutely" intends to keep playing in 2018.

Bradford lead the National Football League in completion percentage at 62 percent in 2016 but past year was a lost season for him with the Minnesota Vikings.

Instead, Minnesota turned to Keenum, who threw for 3,500 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions while leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game. If Bradford bounces back from the degenerative knee condition he dealt with last season, he has a shot to be a viable starter again. In the first, he was lights out, throwing for 346 yards and three touchdowns.

He was never the same, though, after suffering a mysterious knee injury. "This year, he plays in one game and gets hurt, so you go back and look at his track record".

Another Vikings quarterback has moved on as Minnesota focuses on Kirk Cousins.
