Israel's War Crimes in Gaza Continues

The report came only two days after the fatal shooting by Israeli forces of Palestinian cameraman Yasser Murtaja at the Gaza-Israel border on Friday.

In a statement read out outside Downing Street, Corbyn said: "The killing and wounding of yet more unarmed Palestinian protesters yesterday [Friday] by Israeli forces in Gaza is an outrage".

WAFA said in its monthly report of Israeli violations against journalists that 16 journalists were either shot and injured by Israeli forces, suffocated from teargas or were beaten by Israeli soldiers.

It is unclear if there were any casualties among the Palestinians.

Thousands of Palestinians have been staging demonstrations on Gaza Strip's eastern border with Israel against the decade-long Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands since last week.

"Israeli soldiers were not merely using excessive force, but were apparently acting on orders that all but ensured a bloody military response to the Palestinian demonstrations", said Eric Goldstein, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, in a statement.

"The silence from global powers with the responsibility of bringing a just settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict must end", said Corbyn at the Downing Street protest rally.

A Palestinian man has succumbed to wounds he sustained due to Israeli gunfire in the occupied West Bank last week, according to his brother.

Twenty nine Palestinians - many of them members of Gaza terror groups - have been killed since the riots began on March 30 along the frontier of the Gaza Strip. "The result was foreseeable deaths and injuries of demonstrators on the other side of a border who posed no imminent threat to life", he said.

Gaza was the scene of deadly clashes on Friday, prompting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to call on the United Nations, the Arab League and the European Union to take immediate action against the Israeli violence.

Unemployment stands at 50 percent and there are recurrent shortages of power and medical supplies.

The Israeli military accused the "approximately 10,000 Palestinians" who attended of "rioting in five locations along the border with the Gaza Strip". No Israelis were injured.

Its main message is to call for the right of return for Palestinian refugees who were driven from their homes in the territories taken over by Israel during the 1948 war, known to Arabs as the Nakba.
