Sullivan County Administrator of Elections Jason Booher said Monday he expects between 5,000 and 6,000 voters to cast ballots today.

Early voting declined by 28 percent at Bristol's National Guard Armory, by 18 percent at the county election office in Blountville and 10 percent at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium. Ballots must be submitted to county clerks by the time polls close on Election Day.

It sets up a stack of races that, in some parts of the county, will draw partisans to competitive races from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
