DxOMark: Xiaomi Mi 8 beats the Samsung Galaxy S9+ in still shots

Aside from the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, and the Mi 8 Explorer EditionXiaomi today announced the newest variation of its MIUI software, which will arrive on nearly all devices the company has unveiled in the past four years. The manufacturer also claims the special Mi 8 Explorer Edition is the first Android smartphone with 3D face recognition and a pressure-sensing fingerprint sensor below the display for authentication.

Although Vivo is the first manufacturer in the world to release a phone with an in-display fingerprint scanner, Xiaomi's Mi 8 EE has an edge over it. The Explorer Mi 8 Edition has a starting price of 3,699 yuan ($577).

Going by recent reports, Xiaomi Mi 8 will be a worthy successor to the Mi 6 and will give a serious challenge to the recently launched OnePlus 6, Samsung Galaxy S9, Google Pixel 2 and HTC U12+, among others.

The Mi Band 3 is the company's third iteration of its fitness tracker lineup, with its predecessors having gained a good deal of popularity for their pricing.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE resembles the standard Mi 8 SE with a slightly smaller display along with an all-glass design.

Xiaomi's MIUI 10 features a revamped task manager to leverage the full potential of a taller, full-screen display.

Hanley Ramirez Designated for Assignment by Red Sox
If Ramirez has 1,050 plate appearances during the 2017 and 2018 seasons combined, he'd be owed an additional $22 million for 2019. He'd already racked up 195 (he's appeared in 38 of the Red Sox's 50 games), and at that rate would definitely make it to 497.

Pompeo warns Iran of strongest sanctions ever
But the challenges that the accord faces have grown since Trump withdrew the United States from it on May 8th. In return, sanctions imposed by the UN, US and European Union that had crippled Iran's economy were lifted.

Xiaomi is also the latest company to push AI with the new MIUI 10 software. The affordable Mi Band 3 hasn't changed much from the Mi Band 2, apart from tweaks in design and added features.

Xiaomi is also launching two other iterations of its new flagship: the Mi 8 Explorer Edition and the Mi 8 SE.

The company has recently expanded into Europe, so we may later see the Mi 8 on sale elsewhere. Mi 8 makes use of Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. The device also features a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 1.8-micron pixel size. Xiaomi says the glass-backed Mi 8 is the first Android phone with dual-frequency Global Positioning System (using the L1 and L5 bands) for finer-grained location and navigation services. Furthermore, AI will be used to determine what apps are being used more by the user, and the OS will open them quickly. Mi 8 comes with 6GB of RAM and 64/128 and 256GB of internal storage. In fact, this is the first smartphone, which runs on the Qualcomm's first 700 series chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Octa-core with Adreno 616 GPU.

There's also pedometer features, plus when you're working out you'll get real time stats on the screen of your distance, duration and more. The phone is a cheaper and smaller version of Xiaomi's flagship Mi 8 smartphone. Honor 10 also has face unlock with a home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

We don't know what SE stands for and Xiaomi probably doesn't know either.

The Mi 8 will be available on June and start at 2,699 yuan (about $421) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage.
