It's the gaming giant's first bit of new IP for 25 years and will be a single player game that marks the start of an all-new epic franchise.

It is unlikely that we'll see or hear much more about either of these two games for the next couple of years, but if you are a Bethesda fan, then there is plenty of reason to be excited for the future.

The message from Bethesda was very clear - Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI are in the early stage of the development.

In the past they've set a precedent for quick turnarounds from announcement to release, famously revealing and shipping Fallout 4 within the space of six months. Tease is the operative word here, because we have no gameplay footage, no word about the setting or story, no release date, and no console details.

All in first person, with "console graphics" (it looks better than Oblivion, not as good as Skyrim), this will be full-blown open world RPG packed full of both hand-crafted and procedurally generated dungeons and missions. If you're die-hard for the Fallout games, I'm sure you've already put in you pre-order although there's now no release date yet.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades will launch on Android this upcoming September 1st. May the gods bring us more good news about this title in the coming weeks and months. On-screen magicka, health, and stamina bars, loot, treasure, and inventory and leveling menus all will feel right at home to anyone who's recently played other Elders Scrolls games.
