Stefanie has not only suffered the loss of her lower legs, but needs surgery on her spine for an L1 lumbar disk fracture. The others were taken to a hospital in Nassau in the Bahamas. Because of Stefanie's serious injuries and the surgery needed because of the Stacey's fractured legs, the family is working to get Stefanie and Stacey back to the United States.
