Demi Lovato reportedly expected to leave hospital this week

Sources told TMZ that Lovato's family spoke with her about checking into treatment after she started feeling better, and she is consenting.

And reports say the situation became so dire that a member of Demi's team threatened to quit if she wasn't willing to receive the treatment she needs. The singer's bodyguard, who rushed to the bedside of the stricken pop star, is now being credited with saving her life.

Demi is now recovering in hospital in Los Angeles, and is apparently suffering from a very high fever and extreme nausea, but reports say that she is "expected to make a full recovery".

TMZ reports that Lovato's bodyguard arrived at the singer's Hollywood Hills home to her assistant screaming, "She's dead!" Her closest friends and family, including ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, have reportedly been by her side during her recovery.
