Xiaomi clearly has a good chunk of money allotted for the promotion of the Pocophone F1, with actual Paris, Hong Kong, and Jakarta announcement events scheduled for early next week. Meanwhile, the 6GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage model has been priced at Rs. 23,999, and the 8GB RAM/ 256GB inbuilt storage model costs Rs. 28,999. POCO has also gone for a special edition Kevlar Armoured variant with 8GB/256GB for Rs 29,999.

The F1 was conceived out of this need for a newer type of smartphone which focused on the bare essentials for power users rather than aesthetic nuances which blow up the cost of bill of materials of a device. The handset features a hard-coated polycarbonate unibody that has been reinforced with internal frame structure. That aside, other software features are similar to what we've seen before on many Xiaomi phones, including Dual Apps and Second Space.

Xiaomi has a new smartphone brand in India known as Poco and its first smartphone is the Poco F1, which has just been unveiled in the country.

It sports a 6.18-inch IPS LCD panel with full HD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The red variant looks quite premium while the blue one is more ambient. The viewing angles are not the best on this display which could be a let down for this smartphone. Meanwhile, the front camera detail is yet to be revealed by the company, but some leaks suggest that the Poco F1 will pack a 20-megapixel camera with Super Pixel tech. The smartphone comes with an AI feature which detects the scenes and enhances the picture accordingly.

The 12MP primary rear camera gives you best in the line pictures. And the first smartphone-Poco F1- is exactly trying to compete in the entire smartphone market between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000. It comes with Snapdragon 845 chipset with Adrena 630 GPU. The memory can be further expanded with the microSD card slot that also doubles as a hybrid dual SIM slot. For heat dissipation, Xioami has included liquid cooling technology for controlling the internal temperature of the device.

If you believe in numbers and proofs then here are the Antutu Benchmark scores, the GFX Bench and 3D Mark refused to work on this smartphone. After running benchmarks 6 times with an ambient temperature of 35 degree celsius, the F1 still manages to score 277,350 on Antutu versus 273,993 for the OnePlus 6. The phone that also gets face unlock feature, dons infrared lights making it easier for the user to unlock their phone even in darkness. Also retained is a rear mounted fingerprint sensor that's mounted at the bottom of its camera module. Furthermore, Xiaomi is also bundling Quick Charge 3.0 charger right inside the retail box because the Poco F1 supports fast charging. The Xiaomi phone is also trying to challenge expensive gaming handsets with a LiquidCool technology that makes sure the device keeps temperatures low even during heavy-duty gaming sessions.
