Marco Rubio hallway confrontation with Alex Jones: 'Don't touch me again, man'

"We do not typically comment on enforcement actions we take against individual accounts, for their privacy", Twitter said. Twitter says Jones posted a video on Wednesday that is in violation of the company's policy against "abusive behavior".

Twitter had previously resisted calls to ban Jones, though it prevented him from posting on his account for a week last month.

Jones insisted that Rubio acknowledge his presence and importance. Jones was in Washington to appeal to the tech executives to reinstate him and his company. "I don't know who you are man", Rubio said before going back to the reporters' questions. "You are not going to silence me".

Jones interpreted this to mean that Rubio was gonna throw hands, which, admittedly, would be wonderful to watch. "I'm asking you not to touch me", Rubio said.

Not long after, Facebook said it would remove four pages belonging to Jones for posting content that violated its policies around hate speech and violence.

Rubio returned to the committee and told reporters "you guys can talk to this clown", referring to Jones. Jones and his followers have been harassing users for years; namely the parents of the Sandy Hook victims and others who have spoken out against gun violence. "I don't really go on your website". Simple as that. If conservatives are finding themselves increasingly banned from social media platforms, maybe they should look in the mirror and reassess if advocating for white nationalism or disinformation on behalf of a dishonest President is worth it.

"You want me to get arrested", Jones claimed.

Jones shouted at Darcy for more than ten minutes, accusing him of being in favor of censorship and insulting his appearance, comparing him to "a rat" and told Darcy he was "evil-looking". "I'll take care of it myself", Rubio answered.

Jones laughed off the idea that Rubio was unfamiliar with him, and with Infowars, the site he heads up, and called Rubio "little frat boy", and "a gangster thug".

At one point during their back and forth, Mr. Jones touches the Florida senator and security intervened.

Ortutay reported from NY.
