Avenatti Client Emerges With New Allegations Against Kavanaugh

"I remember her saying that the attacker's name was Brett Kavanaugh, that he was a successful lawyer who had grown up in Christine's home town, and that he was well-known in the Washington, D.C. community", Russell Ford said.

In his tweet, he called Swetnick "courageous, fearless and honest" and asked that her privacy be respected. Mitchell comes from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in Phoenix, where she is the chief of the Special Victims Division, which covers sex crimes and family violence.

While Swetnick does not accuse Kavanaugh of assaulting her, she does allege that he and his friend Mark Judge were present at a party when she was gang raped by a series of boys after her drink was spiked. She described gang rapes that she said occurred in which boys would line up to rape incapacitated girls.

In addition to writing that she "observed Brett Kavanaugh drink excessively at these parties and enage in abusive and physically aggressive behavior towards girls", she mentions having seen him at a string of parties known as "Beach Week".

The affidavit said she has clearances to work with multiple federal agencies, including the Treasury Department.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Avenatti said, "We demand an immediate FBI investigation into the allegations".

"This is ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone", he said.

It's not clear whether Collins was following developments to Swetnick's story, or Avenatti's media appearances, both of which undercut Swetnick's claims.

Trump lashed out at Avenatti on Twitter.

Avenatti also represents porn star Stormy Daniels, who has alleged a 2006 sexual encounter with President Donald Trump. "He is just looking for attention and doesn't want people to look at his past record and relationships - a total low-life!"

Kavanaugh showdown hearing not yet set: Dems, GOP arguing on witnesses
Collins said that in a telephone conversation with Kavanaugh on Friday he was "absolutely emphatic" that the assault didn't occur. According to Wigdor, it's important that the lawyer working with Ford knows all of the facts before the hearing - good or bad.

The New Yorker has published a second woman's account.

"You don't get much worse", the president said of the California lawyer.

The allegations represent the latest development in the pitched battle in the Senate over whether to confirm Kavanaugh, a conservative federal appeals court judge picked by Trump in July, for a lifetime job on the top USA court. The panel is set to vote on Kavanaugh's appointment to the high court bench Friday.

Hanging in the balance is Trump's chance to swing the high court more firmly to the right for a generation.

"The Senate Judiciary Committee's investigators are more than capable of investigating the claims presented by Mr. Avenatti", Davis responded in the release.

"When you say you went to 10 parties like that and you kept going to those parties even though that was happening", Wilkinson said of Swetnick, "and you saw that supposedly happening to other girls - that is a different thing not to report".

FOX 5 has not been able to corroborate Swetnick's allegations and is investigating the claims. He included emails he exchanged with Grassley's staff this week. John Cornyn (R-TX) says he hopes both are treated with respect during the hearing and he's displeased with how the Democrats have handled the allegations.

The allegations come from Julie Swetnick, who is the third woman to publicly come forward with sexual misconduct claims against Kavanaugh.

CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell asked Wilkinson to clarify that she and the Senate committee haven't received those documents from Ford's team. He's denied those allegations.
