Breaking Bad movie in the works - but maybe without Walter White

There's a Breaking Bad movie on the way, sources have told The Hollywood Reporter, and it's set to be a two-hour meth-fest set within the OG universe.

This will be Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan's first project under his newly-signed three-year deal withSony Pictures Television.

It's not yet clear if the project is for television or theaters. Nobody's sure if it's a prequel, a continuation of Aaron Paul's narrative or something completely parallel and only tangentially related.

'Yeah bitch!' It's time to get cooking again because "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan is now working on a two-hour movie extension of the AMC series. Better Call Saul's next season will be its fifth, and that will probably be its last, because it just doesn't seem right that the spinoff would run for longer than the original, which ran for five seasons.

"We are happy to welcome "Greenbrier" and Sony Studios to New Mexico", said New Mexico State Film Office Director Nick Maniatis.

The series explored how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society, and follows his transformation from mild-mannered family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

It has been reported that Gilligan will be at the helm of the project - writing the script, executive producing and possibly directing.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is developing a new movie that's connected to the series. Now, fans' favourite Breaking Bad will be revived as a film.

No word yet if the show's original stars, such as Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul or Anna Gunn, will be involved. In the clip, Bryan Cranston says he doesn't think Walter White is dead, which has big implications for what the movie could be. There are certain limitations on continuing their stories from the show, as anyone who watched Breaking Bad no doubt realizes.
