National Basketball Association star Stephen Curry involved in multi-car crash

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just before 9 a.m. PST on Westbound Highway 24 on the Oakland side of the Caldecott Tunnel.

Stating that weather likely played a role in the crash, the CHP said Curry's Porsche was damaged but everyone, including the National Basketball Association star, appeared to be okay.

ESPN's Nick Friedell adds that Curry is now at the team's practice facility ahead of tonight's showdown against the Portland Trail Blazers at Oracle Arena. First, a vehicle spun out and hit him, and then a second auto came into the fold and rear-ended him.

CHP told ABC7 that weather likely played a role in this accident.

The crash happened as Curry was headed to shootaround.

Curry has not played in a game for the Warriors since a November 8 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

As if the bad couldn't get worse for the scuffling Warriors right about now.

Curry, who has missed the last seven games with a strained groin, is averaging 29.5 points and 6.1 assists this season.

The Warriors have lost four in a row, but perhaps, they can count Curry's safety as a win.
