Matthew Dellavedova traded back to Cleveland Cavaliers

The Washington Wizards will join the trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire Sam Dekker for Jason Smith and a future second round pick.

The Cavaliers and Wizards will swap second round picks, with Cleveland getting Washington's second in 2021 and sending their second in 2022.

Australian point guard Matthew Dellavedova was today traded back to the team where he won an NBA Championship in 2016, but there were multiple layers to why the veteran was dealt by the Milwaukee Bucks.

There was an urgency to get the deal agreed to before 6 p.m. on Friday because only players on rosters by then can be re-packaged in other trades before February's deadline.

The Cavaliers will receive future first- and second-round picks in 2021 from the Bucks.

Arsenal triumph over Tottenham amid 'unacceptable' trouble in stands
When you are young in this type of game always it is hard but I'm not going to focus on him - the team until 2-2 was good. Emery said he wants to move on from this win as soon as possible. "We are happy and enjoying [ourselves]".

The Cavs moved veteran sharpshooter Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz late last month in exchange for two second-round picks. Now in his 11th National Basketball Association season, Hill has averaged 11.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 679 games. Milwaukee also got forward Jason Smith from Washington.

Dellavedova could play in the Cavaliers' Saturday night home game against the Washington Wizards, and will quickly renew acquaintances with his former teammates on the Bucks.

"I think it will be good for our team, not just for myself, but for our team". But, the reality is, it could be much of the same as the Cavs continue to eye the future - which now looks like Duke monster Zion Williamson at pick No.1 in next year's draft. "They say he practices hard, too, so we're going to have some battles".

Hill's contract figure of US$18 million for the 2019-20 season is only partially guaranteed for US$1 million, meaning the Bucks can save themselves in the vicinity of US$19 million ($26.3 million AUD) next season if Hill is waived.

The 28-year-old has had a tough start to the season under new Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer, averaging the fewest minutes of his career (8.1) after he fell out of the team's rotation. The University of Wisconsin product hasn't lived up to that status during stints with the Rockets, Clippers, and Cavaliers, but the athletic 6-foot-9 forward makes for a potentially nice fit with a Wizards team looking to play up-tempo. He carries career averages of 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds. Dekker, who underwent back surgery during his rookie season, has not played since suffering an ankle injury on November 5.
