Solskjaer has restored positivity to United, says Shaw

Paul Pogba scored twice as Manchester United brushed aside Bournemouth 4-1 at Old Trafford to make it three wins from three for interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. There's been plenty of talk about the unshackling of Pogba since United's win at Cardiff, and this display was as good a sign as any that finally, two and-a-half years after returning to Old Trafford, the Frenchman is delivering what he's truly capable of.

"It's work rate, headers, winning tackles, no showboating and it's touch, pass, move and he's at his best when he plays that game". Whatever Solskjaer has said to him, it appears to have done the trick. "It is just a reaction of all of the players and everyone is enjoying themselves", said Pogba.

Victory over Bournemouth would see Solskjaer become only the third United manager to win their first three matches. The style of play has been significantly different to that displayed during most of Mourinho's time at the club, and Pogba feels Solskjaer's tactics now have United playing how they want to.

"This is how it was".

Pogba certainly deserves praise for his performance, but Rashford was the best player on the pitch.

The Belgian midfielder has been one of the players most affected with the change of coach. He has started two games and come off the bench at the beginning of the second half in another.

"I did not have a clue, I didn't look at my phone or anything".

Trump vows 'very long' government shutdown over border wall
If a spending bill is not passed by Congress and approved by Trump by Friday at midnight, the government will partially shut down. The partial government shutdown could begin, with affected agencies limiting staff to those deemed "essential" to public safety.

Despite handing praise to Mourinho for his ability to grind out results, Pogba just couldn't help praising Solskjaer for the attacking brand of football he's clearly enjoying so much.

However, in stark contrast to the final days of Mourinho's tenure, it seemed only a matter of time before United struck again and once more it was Pogba who provided the finish with a bullet header from Ander Herrera's cross.

Asmir Begovic then had to race to the edge of his box as Anthony Martial chased a through pass, hacking clear with Eddie Howe's Bournemouth under increasing pressure.

For all the improvements of late, though, Solskjaer is still waiting for a first clean sheet since November as Ake beat Matic to power home David Brooks's cross.

Pogba then added a second in the 33rd minute, before Rashford made it 3-0 with a fine finish on the stroke of half-time.

The one downside against Bournemouth was a late red card for Eric Bailly after a reckless challenge on Ryan Fraser, meaning he will miss games against Newcastle, Reading in the FA Cup and the trip to Tottenham.
