Antonio Brown Reportedly Missed Game Due to Dispute with Roethlisberger

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has always been one of the best wideouts in the National Football League, but where does he rank all-time?

When Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media on Wednesday he noted the team is going to take some time before beginning the process of evaluation of the 2018 season.

The Steelers quarterback continued to play down talks of the fight and revealed that he had spoken to the wide receiver on Thursday and that everything was okay between them.

"Ben Roethlisberger says on his radio show (93.7 the Fan) he had no issue w/ A. Brown".

Although it would be extremely unlikely the Steelers would trade a player the caliber of Brown to an in-division rival - or trade Brown to any team - general manager John Dorsey and the Browns should call Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert about Brown's availability.

The quarterback added he didn't know why Brown was avoiding his teammates.

Tomlin said he has not received a formal trade request from Brown, according to Kinkhabwala. Brown also appeared with former teammate James Harrison, who promised an exclusive "interview" with Brown. Roethlisberger has since downplayed the reported incident with Brown, but the situation has sparked speculation over Brown's future with the team.

Tomlin confirmed Brown was "unavailable" leading up to the game, according to WPXI's Alby Oxenreiter, and was benched because he did not attend Saturday's walk-through in addition to experiencing lower-body soreness.

It hasn't stopped. As Tomlin spoke, Brown - who has two years remaining on his four-year, $72 million deal he signed in the spring of 2017 - published a post on Instagram to his 3.1 million followers saying "I am divinely blessed with free will. I will certainly talk to him".

"I'm obviously not the coach or the owner, so I'm not sure what's going to happen", Roethlisberger said.

"I hope he's back here with me because he makes me better", Roethlisberger said.

When asked if Brown quit on his team, Tomlin answered: "You can call it what you want to call it".
