The Broncos are filing out their coaching staff.

The 49ers were expecting to lose quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello to the Denver Broncos, and that's exactly what happened Wednesday.

Broncos Blitz podcast host Ronnie Kohrt breaks down the strengths and weaknesses of the new coaching staff.

He has previous experience as an offensive coordinator in the college ranks at Wagner, Northern Arizona and Millsaps. Garoppolo suffered a season-ending injury in Week 3 of the 2018 season, but he posted a 64.8 percent completion percentage, 2,278 yards, 12 touchdowns, eight interceptions and a 94.1 quarterback rating in his nine games before the injury.

"The 49ers initially blocked the Broncos' attempt to interview Scangarello, but the two sides did eventually come to an agreement", reported Mike Klis of 9News in the Denver area. Scangarello had a lot of success developing young quarterbacks in San Francisco.

First up for Scangarello is finalizing the rest of the offensive coaching staff.

In December 2017, Shanahan said of Scangarello: "Rich is a very hard worker, knows this (offense) inside and out and he's been committed to catching Jimmy up".

The Packers submitted a request to interview Shanahan's receivers coach and passing game coordinator Mike LaFleur, the brother of Green Bay's new head coach, Matt LaFleur.

Pariani coached two-time Pro Bowler Owen Daniels for the duration of his 10-season career: in Houston (2006-13), Baltimore (2014) and again in 2015 when Daniels signed with Denver.
