The Steelers wide receiver tweeted goodbye to Steeler Nation on Tuesday, all but assuring that a trade from the team that drafted him in the sixth round of the 2010 draft is inevitable at this point. ESPN reports that Brown is due a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 17. Brown was benched for Pittsburgh's final game of the regular season after skipping a walk-through and not communicating with staff regarding a knee injury.

Brown has three years remaining on a five-year $72.7m contract extension he signed before the 2017 season.

Brown, 30, attached a video of highlights from his time with the Steelers with Lil Uzi Vert's "Now I Do What I Want" playing. He was not seen as a star coming out of college and seemed nearly an after-thought when he was drafted in the sixth-round by the Steelers in the 2010 draft.

Brown was charged in November for driving his black sports auto over 100 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone. The woman did not press charges and police have taken no further action.

It has also emerged Brown was hit with two lawsuits in October for an incident that allegedly occurred at his South Florida high-rise last April.
