Cook County Sheriff's office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari confirms to PEOPLE that Kelly was transferred to the county jail, where he will remain until he pays $161,000 in back child support that he owes. He did not attend that hearing and has since often refused to make the payments.

Kelly has also been accused by some of his alleged victims and their families of maintaining a sex cult.

She said the sexually abusive relationship lasted for years.

Clary claimed that her parents encouraged her to pretend to be older when she first met Kelly. Clary went on to say that "if you can't see that" their parents are making up "fucking lies for money", then "you're ignorant and you're stupid as fuck".

Kelly addressed the allegations with King on Tuesday, which he denied by suggesting they were simply "not true". "They said [it was] because if they ever have to blackmail him - what they're trying to do now - they can use it against him, which is exactly what they're doing".

CNN has reached out to the parents of both women for comment on the allegations from Thursday's interview.

The charges against Kelly and his interview with King followed the January debut of Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.

Steven Greenberg, Kelly's attorney, recently said Kelly has been struggling financially and the spent three days in jail after his arrest last month before he was able to raise the $100,000 required to secure his release on $1 million bail. "If I stood up even to comfort him, that could have been his invitation to say 'This is over.' So I didn't interrupt his anger and let him have that".

After reports surfaced on Wednesday that the R&B singer was under investigation in Detroit for allegedly having intercourse with a teenage girl nearly two decades ago, Detroit Police Chief James Craig tells ET "we are aware of the allegations made against R. Kelly that possibly occurred in 2001".

"Yeah, well, he's. he's the manipulator", Clary said of her father.

"I'm very exhausted of all of the lies", Kelly said.

Kelly has pleaded not guilty to the 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse that he faces. His defense attorney said at the time that Kelly's finances were "a mess". Kelly's next hearing in the child support case is on March 13 and his next court date on the sex abuse charges is March 22.
