Call of Duty: Mobile is Coming Soon

Beyond the standard multiplayer experience, the trailer below hints at a possible battle royale-style game with a map and drop-in that looks a lot like Call of Duty: Blackout from Black Ops 4.

Announced during Unity's GDC keynote, Call of Duty: Mobile is a partnership between Activision and Tencent. According to the company, Call of Duty: Mobile is a new free-to-play game that brings together maps, modes, weapons, and characters from across the Call of Duty franchise, including the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series.

Don't expect a brand new Call of Duty game though - Mobile collates the best maps, multiplayer modes, weapons and characters from the series. Once out, it'll also be available from Apple's iOS App Store.

So the inclusion of a similar mode in Call of Duty: Mobile - even if it is simplified to match relatively low-power mobile tech - would be welcome news for fans. By launching Call of Duty Mobile, Activision's popular title is in for a huge win with its loyal fan base.

A promotional image (see above) was supposedly leaked before being quickly debunked, but one site in particular is claiming to know lots of details about the unconfirmed title.

There's no word on when the game might release, but Activision have said a public beta will be available in the summer.
