Twitch Prime members can get Nintendo Switch Online for free

Twitch has announced today via the official Twitch blog that Twitch Prime members get up to one year of Nintendo Switch Online access included. Instead, you can only claim the first three months now and the final nine months after 60 days. If you had already paid for Switch Online for a year then this free subscription will be added as an additional period so it's still worth to claim.

If you already have Nintendo Switch Online, you'll get additional free time added to your account. Online services used to be free before the Nintendo Switch Online app launched in late 2018, but now it'll cost you $19.99 per year.

There's one final hurdle in this tedious obstacle course, and that's to link your Nintendo Switch account to Twitch.

And that's it: you're done and can start enjoying the benefits of Switch Online membership.

The only condition is you must have an Amazon Prime account which you intend to use for at least 60 days. So there's plenty of time to claim the offer.

Nintendo Switch Online provides a range of benefits for its users, from allowing players to access online multiplayer games, play classic NES games and access cloud saves for games that support the feature.

Amazon will not immediately roll out the full 1-year subscription for Nintendo Switch. If not, you'll need to create an account.

This will hopefully strengthen the numbers of Online Service subscribers for Nintendo, while also making the service more reasonable of a purchase for fans. If that's the case, Amazon has a new perk for you in the form of a free subscription offer. The nine-month membership will no longer be available after January 22, 2020. Note that this won't work if you've used the trial in the past.
